HBOT Scholarship Program

Mission

For many years, the Hellenic Board of Trade (HBOT) has assisted students through mentorship and other programs, always seeking to elevate our youth. In 2024, the HBOT Scholarship Program was launched, to promote young Hellenes pursuing higher education at the university level. This scholarship is aimed at providing financial support to students of Greek origin, for the payment of tuition and school fees. With this assistance, we hope to encourage future members of our business community in this important step towards their professional careers and look forward to one day welcoming them into the HBOT ecosystem.

Eligibility criteria:

Citizen and resident status and Greek Origin

  1. Canadian citizen
  2. Quebec resident (must provide proof)
  3. Greek origin* (must provide proof)

University students

  • Full-time student during the Fall 2023 and Winter 2024 semesters
  • Undergradute or Gradute programs will be considered 

 

Scholarship amount per recipient: $3,000

Key Dates:

  • Application Start Date: March 22, 2024
  • Application deadline: April 15th, 2024
  • Award ceremony will be presented at the DEKA Awards on May 9th, 2024

*Greek origin can be proved using one or more of the following:

  1. Baptismal certificate (or other Religious certificates)
  2. Birth certificates of a member of your family
  3. Marriage certificates of member of your family
  4. Government issued certificate
  5. Proofs of addresses
  6. Greek passports of family members or of candidate
